Golden yellow ginkgo leaves fallen from unseen trees onto gray stones. This zen landscape is part of the Eternal Wanderings series of fine art photographs (this one was taken in my backyard). Texture and other effects was added, particularly to the stones, to give the piece a meditative feeling, a little like looking into water.

I have been painting most of my life. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
