Product Details

Our wooden holiday ornaments are 1/2" thick, approximately 4" tall, and include a string for easy hanging and a magnet on the back for use on refrigerators.   Ornaments are available in six different shapes, including: stars, hearts, bells, trees, ovals, and stockings.

Artist's Description

Orange California poppies are starting to dot the landscape. Wispy clouds drift over the hills, above a live oak tree. This Northern California landscape from Arastradero Open Space Preserve in Palo Alto is an original oil painting on a gallery-wrapped canvas (the 3/4" sides are finished off in brown acrylic)--no need to frame. If you would like the canvas fitted with picture wire, let me know at the time of purchase (no additional charge). The piece can be hung as is on one or two parallel nails but some people prefer hanging wire if the piece is going to be hung unframed.

Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
