Artist's Description

An empty wooden swing sways beneath redwood trees. A historic saltbox house waits in the background, with a sun dappled stone path leading up to it. This California landscape is an artistically enhanced photograph, in tones of sepia with color washes added. The border hearkens back to TTV (Through the Viewfinder) vintage photography. The scratches and imperfections give this house in Saratoga a Victorian Gothic feel.

About Laura Iverson

Laura Iverson

I have been painting most of my life. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
