Some images just haunt you. I saw this bell tower years ago when we stopped in San Miguel on our way to Cambria. When I took up fine art photography, I wanted to go back to this spot and capture the image in my mind, tinted as it was with memory.

I have been painting most of my life. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
