A raven perches on a dead tree, scanning the wetlands. Dramatic gray clouds scud overhead. I am going to use this California landscape, inspired by the Sunnyvale Baylands, as a background for a ghost painting so the original is not offered for sale. It worked so beautifully as a landscape that I wanted to make prints available before I put in the supernatural elements.
About Laura Iverson
I have been painting most of my life. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
