The rising sun illuminates yellow butterflies and blossoming tree branches, covered in cherry blossoms. The tree branches have arced to form a peace sign. The peace symbol reverberates in the veins of the butterflies' wings. Some of the petals are dancing in the sunrise, which is in shades of pink, deepening to magenta and purple.
About Laura Iverson
I have been painting most of my life. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
